What is Remote Area Medical?
Remote Area Medical
Remote Area Medical (RAM) is a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the provision of free pop-up clinics. Our primary mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by delivering high-quality healthcare to communities in need. RAM offers a range of essential services, including dental, vision, and medical care, completely free of charge, with a particular focus on underserved and uninsured individuals. By bridging the gap in access to healthcare, RAM strives to improve the well-being and quality of life for those who are vulnerable.
Student-Driven Mission
Emory's student-led chapter is dedicated to volunteering at rural clinics which enhance quality of life through the delivery of competent and compassionate health care to those who are impoverished, isolated, and underserved. We have volunteered across Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida.

Most recently, we hosted a clinic in September 2021 in Louisville, GA which treated 210 patients with an estimated value of $120,210 in medical care!
